Nā Kama “Come and See…Hawai‘i”
(2003 - Makani Records)
After four years from Ke Ala Hou, Nā Kama was ready for the next chapter. With all things, time gives the opportunity for growth and maturity. Nā Kama is no exception. Brian and Eric’s sequel release was met with great appreciation and positive criticism. People could tell the difference in level of performance from the 1st recording to today’s sound. Nā Kama also took it to the next level, adding “live” string accompaniment, a harp, and a steel guitar. Like “Ke Ala Hou,” “Come and See…Hawai‘i” features six new compositions and five classics. Returning on bass are good friends: John Koko (Mākaha Sons) and Rodney Bejer (The Ka‘ala Boys); also a performance by The Kamehameha Schools Youth Chorus. |
